“Inter House Spellwizard Competition” at HEMA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL.

Spellings can be a challenging task for children, especially for those who are just starting to learn the basics of the English language.

On 16th August 2023 “SPELL WIZARD COMPETITION” has been organised by the Primary Wing for Grade 1 and 2 in which four different houses (ASAN House ,TAGORE House , IQBAL House , VALLATHOL House) participated with an aim to enhance the logical thinking and to develop their linguistic skills.

Such quiz helps the students to build up their self confidence and to enhance critical thinking.

Students of Class 5 conducted the quiz with full enthusiasm and zeal under the guidance of teachers.

Participants of each house gave a tough battle to each other in all four wonderful rounds. In first two rounds , they have to tell the correct spelling with identification of the pictures. Third round was the Buzzer round in which riddles were asked and the. last but not the least fourth round which was Rapid fire round where participants has to find and tell atleast 10 names in different crosswords.

The aim of the competition was to test the learners’ knowledge about Animals, Birds , Community Helpers , Transportation Names ,Fruits Names, Insects Names ,Plant parts Names , Vegetables Names, Critical thinking about Short Riddles , identification and telling correct spellings.

The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions in all rounds especially the Buzzer round and Rapid fire round. It was very interesting and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.

At the end of the quiz , Our respected Principal Ma’am addressed the students and liked their active participation they had put on to make it a successful and memorable event. At last , She declared the results and congratulated the winners and all the other teams ..
