Dussehra is the tenth day of annual Navaratri festival, one of the important Hindu festivals. Lord Rama's victory against Ravan, Lanka's demon king, is commemorated on this day. The Ramleela is a cultural event, which depicts many incidents from Lord Rama's life.

On this occassion, Hema Higher Secondary School, Bhopal, conducted Dussehra assembly.

Class IX students performed a Ramleela, enacting the events of the war between Lord Rama and Demon Ravan. This was followed by "Garba Dance", which is the signature dance of Navaratri. The students and teachers participated whole-heartedly, making it an exuberant event. The programme ended with "Ravan Dahan", which also symbolises the win of good over all evil. The school principal,  Mrs. Poonam Sharma, appreciated the students' efforts, motivated them for even better performances, with a concluding speech building the expectations of future events.
