TEACHERS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME AT HEMA HR. SEC. SCHOOL

An Orientation Programme for teachers was held on 27.08.2022 at HEMA Hr.Sec. School on the topic “Effective Teaching skills and Application” by the resource person Shri Ali Zama. The Orientation covered a variety of effective modern learning techniques.

The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Ali Zama the resource person, Principal Ms. Poonam Sharma, Vice-Principal Ms. Pamela Abraham, Headmistress Ms. Peyali Sinha and Shri Kishore Pillai Secretary.

To improve the efficiency of training an ice breaking activity was conducted by asking the  teachers  to introduce themselves relating the first alphabet of their name with fruit and usage of adjective. Shri Ali Zama emphasized about today’s changing educational system where the main challenge is that digital migrants (teachers) are teaching digital natives (students) that is why CBSE is emphasizing on Audio Visual Teaching.

A variety of activities were conducted to make the teachers understand the importance of team work, co-operation and of creating healthy environment, where the teaching learning process can be made interesting and joyful.

The session also helped the teachers to shed their inhibitions and come out of their comfort zone. The brain storming session energized the teachers to think out of the box and to empower themselves with the changing scenario of teaching and learning.

Shri Kishore Pillai, Secretary and Shri Sajit Nair, Vice-President were present throughout the session to boost the morale of the teachers. Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. Pamela Abraham, Vice-Principal.
