Festivals build group cohesiveness. Festivals inform,educate,bring people together, break the monotony  of routine and give us a chance to re-energize our body, mind, and spirit.  Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival that marks the birthday of Lord Ganesha. 

It is  believed that Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom bestows his presence on Earth during this festival and remove obstacles. With such belief, HEMA Higher Senior Secondary School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi during the assembly. The sole purpose of the celebration was to make the students stay rooted with Indian culture and to enable them to understand the significance of this festival.

The significance of the festival was depicted through a skit and dance by  the students of class V.

 The importance of eco-friendly ways of celebrating the festival was also explained.
