ODISSI DANCE PERFORMANCE BY RENOWNED DANCER 

MS. BINDU JUNEJA AT HEMA SCHOOL

SPIC MACAY DASHANK Bhopal chapter organized an Odissi dance performance at HEMA Higher Secondary School on 9th December 2022 to give an insight into Indian Music, Art and Culture among youths. The programme was presented by eminent Odissi dancer Ms. Bindu Juneja along with her disciples kalyani and Vaidehi. 

The programme started off with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Shri Sunil Shukla Vice Chairman, Spic Macay, Ms. Bindu Juneja, eminent Odissi dancer, Mr. Kishore Pillai, Secretary HEMA Education Society, Ms. Poonam Sharma, Principal, Ms. Pamela Abraham, Vice-Principal & Ms. Peyali Sinha, Headmistress. 

A beautiful dance presentation along with narration was showcased. Madam Bindu Juneja depicted various dance poses of sculptures of temples and also explained the Harihar dance movements which tell us about Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva respectively. The soft and intricate movements of the dance were demonstrated with various hand gestures and postures.

On this occasion as a token of love and gratitude saplings were presented to the dignitaries. The programme was attended by the Management Members of HEMA Education Society, staff and students.
